After 26 years, there’s no slowing down for our charitable Easter Bunny.

Our company president, Mark Dilbeck, had the pleasure yesterday of delivering a total of $9,000 to three local charities, as a result of a benefit event that Dilbeck has hosted for more than a quarter century. Our 26th Annual “Easter in the Park” celebration on April 8 continued a long tradition of giving back to our Dilbeck communities and took place in La Canada’s beautiful Memorial Park.

There were booths hosted by local organizations, live musicians, activities for every member of the hundreds of families who attended, and even a visit from The Easter Bunny herself (played this year by Carrie Grochow, one of our La Canada agents). The event is always open to the community and this year’s gathering drew a record-breaking crowd. Here’s a slideshow from the day, so you can enjoy the fun, too:

The benefit event raised funds for three nearby organizations that provide essential services to those in need:

  • Los Altos Auxiliary of Sycamores works specifically to enhance the lives of the emotionally and physically abused boys, aged six through eighteen, living at the El Nido campus, a residential home in Altadena.
  • Grandview Foundation provides individualized drug and alcohol addiction treatment for Los Angeles residents aged 18 and older who want to take control of their addiction once and for all.
  • Door of Hope aims to empower families facing homelessness, so they can transform their lives. Door of Hope is one of the only homeless providers that can shelter any kind of family together in their own private unit, including single moms, single dads, and two-parent families together with their children.

The total amount was divided evenly between the three, with each nonprofit receiving a $3,000 donation as part of this project. Representatives were present from each charity to receive their checks, which came from donations made by Dilbeck sales partners, their family and friends, and community members.

Projects like this are an integral part of our proud community traditions at Dilbeck Real Estate, and we look forward to continuing involvement in causes that matter and that share our spirit of giving back. Thanks to all the agents, staff, and other volunteers, mostly from the La Canada office, who gave their time, energy, and more to this event.
